This piece is part of the collection I was lucky enough to acquire from a woman so fantastic, she used to wear stunning Victorian hair combs  and elbow satin gloves on any given Saturday evening.  Oh, to be that fab!

Circa 1920, this celluloid  comb is a deep mahogany color in-laid with tiny, hand painted flowers in bright, vibrant hues.  The elegant, peacock fan shape is accented with small crystals in ruby red and pale blue for a dash of sparkle. 

As this is an authentic antique, it  has a glamorous past and shows some minor wear but is still in rare, outstanding condition.  Unique in design and craftsmanship, this comb is heirloom quality yet supremely versatile and wearable.  The perfect something for everything form jeans to gowns.
